Introduction

As we start our journey from the Delhi, you will observe how the national capital has gone through different crown changes as you will get to see the imprints of different emperors that have ruled over this city leaving it with its versatile culture and architectural stand. The modernization starts and as we move on we get a chance to relax and heal ourselves with the ancient Ayurvedic centers we shall take you to. Ayurveda, stands away from all the modern and scientific practices and is believed to be transfused into Indian culture from the ancient Indus Valley Civilization. The therapeutic and general practices as per Ayurveda helps one maintain the balance of the intake and outcome process in human body and thus results in a healthier and longer life. Some of the modern science researches believe the practices followed in Ayurveda are protoscientific and some believe it to be a pseudoscientific medicine system. Moreover, there seems to have been much advancement done in this system from its origin and as a result of it we have different regions in India where we still see the imprints of this very ancient Ayurvedic System.

Day 01: Arrive Delhi

On your arrival at Delhi International airport, you shall be met by our officials who will transfer you to the hotel.

Day 02: In Delhi

Start your day with an exquisite breakfast in the hotel and let the excitement creep in. Proceed on with the day by taking a full day city tour covering both Old as well as New Delhi. Fascinate your hearts by enjoying a Metro and Auto ride while appreciating the magnificent architecture built by late emperor Shah Jahan in Old Delhi. It’s definitely worth spending at least half a day walking through the chaotic yet colourful streets of ChandniChowk and visiting India’s biggest and most famous mosque- Jama Masjid. Visit other monuments of the city including Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple (Place of worship for the Bahai Community) and QutubMinar, which is also considered as a symbol of the City. Spend some time in Old Delhi to join the rest of the group and return to the hotel.

Day 03: Delhi - Haridwar - Rishikesh

After an early breakfast, we shall take you to the New Delhi Railway Station to catch a train connecting to Haridwar. Once we reach Haridwar (225 KM; approx 4hours 30 mins). Our travel coordinator will meet you up at the railway station of Haridwar from where he will drive you to our Rishikesh Ashram (22 KM; Approx 40 mins). Once you reach the Ashram, take a rest and do the local sightseeing as it is a holy city known for its mythological importance as per Hindu religion. Enjoy your stay in the Ashram which is beautifully built in a countryside hut style and please note that the Ashram only serves vegetarian food.

Day 04: Rishikesh

From this day onwards you will start exploring an exercise method that has been a part of Indian culture since ages. Initiating with the practices and sessions of Hatha Yoga & Ashtang Yoga, Prayanam(breathing exercises), Dhyan(meditation) you will learn how to perform activities that relaxes and heals different part of your body through various Asana’s as per Hatha Yoga. You will learn on how to control your mental and emotional activities through Dhyan and how the inhaling and exhaling of air, Pranayams (part of Ashtang Yoga) helps you increase the inflow of positive energy into your body as well as removing the toxins from various parts of your body which ultimately results in the increase of the vital energy best suitable to your body. These sessions will be conducted by someone who is called the Yoga Guru and he might ask you to appear before him prior to your breakfast or starting this activity for some pre-session assessments meant only for your benefit and safety. Also the point to be noted is that these sessions might be conducted during different time intervals throughout the day as each Asana has its own specification about the time when it’s best to be practiced.

Day 05: Rishikesh

Starting your day with the morning yoga classes, you will be presented to an Ayurveda Specialist known as Ayurvedacharya who might make you go through some preliminary Ayurvedic treatments for the betterment of your skin, eye, and various other organs of your body. Followed by the Yoga sessions and Dhyan(meditation session) you might end your day after having a entirely veg meal at dinner.

Day 06: Rishikesh

Start this day with moving on to the advanced version of Pranayam followed by Dynamic & advance Yoga. Once you are done with it we might start the PanchKarma Treatment. PanchKarma: It is a purification therapy with five-folds in it that works towards the correction of the imbalance of the Bio-energies or also known as Dosha’s (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) to maintain their inherent equilibrium and Ama. This therapy can be categorized into three categories that are explained as follows: Poorva karma: Poorva(Pre) karma is the initial stage that consists of some essential preliminary procedures to prepare the body for unloading the toxins stored in one’s body. Treatments also results the loosening of Ama (toxins) and send it over to GI tract, where Panchakarmas cleaning therapies eliminate them. Pradhana karma: Pradhan(Main) Karma is the second stage which includes cleansing therapies post the Poorva Karma. Paschat karma: Pashchat (Post) karma the stage finalizing the treatment with major impacts as it comprises the measures deployed after the main treatment, like dietary routines, medicinal implementations and other daily routine things. Then we might move up to the Vashistha cave which was the cave where famous Indian Guru/Sage Vashistha used to practice his meditation where we will practice transcendental meditation. We shall drive you back to the Ashram after this session in afternoon. Meditation sessions will be conducted in evening and curative yoga sessions will also be a part of the day end.

Day 7: Rishikesh

We will start the day with morning Pranayam & Ashtang Yoga practice after which we will take you through a scheduled PanchKarma treatment. Devprayag could be our next destination which is a beautiful and holy place situated in Garhwal Himalayas. Observe the holy ambience and scenic beauty for sometime and visit an old temple of Lord RagunathJi built in the 10th century.

Day 8: Rishikesh - Haridwar - Delhi

Breakfast will be conducted early morning and we will drive you back to Delhi (250 Kms 04 Hrs), on your arrival you will be greeted by our travel correspondents who will transfer you to the hotel.

Day 9: Delhi- AGRA

Have breakfast in the hotel. Depart for Agra by road. The total distance will be around 220 km and it will take a total of 4 hours to reach Agra. On arrival, you shall be transferred to the hotel. Later in the day, you shall be taken on a tour to TajMahal built by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife- Mumtaz. The evening shall be spent watching the glorifying sunset at TajMahal.

Day 10: Agra-Jaipur

Have breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Jaipur by road via visiting beautiful FatehpurSikri. A total of 250 km and a span of 5 hours shall take you to Jaipur. Jaipur- the city of royal palaces was founded in the year 1569 during the reign of Mughal emperor Akbar and the city remained the capital of Mughal Empire from the years 1571 to 1585. FatehpurSikri which took around fifteen years to be constructed during the rule of Akbar possess a series of royal palaces, courts, mosque and private quarters that can make any traveler fall in love with the place. It is the FatehpurSikri which is quite popularly known for speaking volumes about the legends of Akbar and his courtiers i.e. the nine jewels including Birbal. It is also known to be one of the best and most preserved collections of Mughal Architecture in India. You shall be continuing the drive to Jaipur. On arrival, you shall be transferred to the hotel in Jaipur.

Day 11: In Jaipur

Have breakfast at the hotel. You will then be taken on a tour to Jaipur- the city of Royal Palaces. The city is quietly known to be the first planned city as one can witness wide streets and beautiful gardens all around which is otherwise not found in other urban cities. The people here are warm and hospitable and welcome visitors like their own family members. The Amber fort, known for its enthralling fortress will be visited during sightseeing. Made with white marble and red sandstone, it is quite a beautiful creation that will stun everyone. When there is mention of Amber fort, no one can forget the mention of Sheesh Mahal which witnesses awe-inspiring mirrored halls. Also on tour list is the HawaMahal which is known to be the Palace of Winds. Built with red and pink sandstone, the palace dons a total of 5 storeys and around 935 windows. The main reason behind its construction was to allow women to gaze out at the city without themselves being seen. Since there were a lot of openings, it helped the rulers staying in the palace to get a cool breeze during hot weather. After sightseeing, you shall be treated with traditional Rajasthani lunch and then transfer you to the hotel.

Day 14: Departure

Have breakfast in the hotel. Enjoy a leisure morning and then departure to Delhi via road. Around 265 kms and 5 hours will make you reach the capital city of India. You shall be transferred to the airport and then let you board the flight for your way back to home.
