BIRDS WATCHING AND CROCODILES TOUR

DURATION:08 NIGHTS/ 09 DAYS DESTINATIONS:DELHI-AGRA-JAIPUR-CHAMBAL NATIONAL SANCTUARY-BHARATPUR-JAIPUR

Introduction

Explore the grandeur of the heart of the North part of India that is Delhi and witness the city’s magnificent history i.e mosques, temples and well known monuments. Move on with the tour traveling to the to seventh wonder of the World- TajMahal; from grand Agra Fort, then drive to Chambal National sanctuary famous for Gharial Crocodiles, Gangetic River Dolphin, Turtles and is also of interest for the bid watchers. Drive onto Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary – another delight for the bird watchers. You ride through the rickshaws in the sanctuary and have the privilege of stopping by the water bodies to view the different category of birds. Journey comes to an end by driving to Jaipur where you ride atop elephant back through the Amber Fort.

Day 01- ARRIVE DELHI

On your arrival at Delhi International airport, you shall be met by our officials who will transfer you to the hotel.
Overnight stay in Delhi.

DAY 02: IN DELHI

Have breakfast in the hotel. Follow it up with full day sightseeing tour of both Delhi via metro or auto-rickshaw. Have a glimpse of the splendid architecture of Old Delhi built by late emperor Shah Jahan. The city is full of vibrant people and Chaat-Pakori of ChandniChowk is quite a retreat for travelers. Visit the biggest mosque of India- Jama Masjid, which was Shah Jahan’s place to experience serenity and offer prayers to the Almighty. It took almost six years to complete building the mosque which features three gateways and two towering minarets standing tall at 40m. You shall be taken aback with the fact that around 25,000 worshippers can offer prayers at the same time in this majestic mosque. Not only this, one can even have a panoramic view of the colonial Delhi from the top of southern minaret. The visitors shall be then moved to seeing monuments in New Delhi like Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple and QutubMinar. After the tour, the travelers shall be allowed to stay back in Old Delhi for some time and later meet with rest of the group and back to Hotel.
OVERNIGHT STAY IN DELHI.

DAY 03: DELHI- AGRA

Have breakfast in the hotel. Depart for Agra by road. The total distance will be around 220 km and it will take a total of 4 hours to reach Agra. On arrival, you shall be transferred to the hotel. Later in the day, you shall be taken on a tour to TajMahal built by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife- Mumtaz. The evening shall be spent watching the glorifying sunset at TajMahal. OVERNIGHT STAY IN AGRA.

DAY 04: AGRA – CHAMBAL NATIONAL SANCTUARY

After breakfast drive to Chambal National Sanctuary (70 kms). On arrival in Chambal, check into your hotel. Chambal National sanctuary is a 400 kilometre stretch of the river Chambal in northern india. The Chambal ravines on either side of the river are the product of centuries of soil erosion by flood and rain waters, and that they form an unbelievable maze of intertwining mud cliffs, with tropical dry scrub forest. The cliffs and vegetation offer shelter for various birds, mammals and reptiles, specifically Gharial Crocodiles. The river itself is one in all India’s most pristine and as a result it’s one among the last living habitats of the Gangetic dolphin. The sanctuary additionally provides protection for Marsh Crocodiles, eight species of Turtles and Smooth-Coated Otters. DAY 05: CHAMBAL NATIONAL SANCTUARY – BHARATPUR

After breakfast drive to Bharatpur (125 Kms), on the way visit FatehpurSikri 37 Kms south west of city this lovely town with lovely palaces, strategically markets and residential areas was based by Akbar as his homage to Muslim Sufi Saint mohammedsalimChishti. the development started in 1571 and took 15 years to complete. the town was later abandoned because of scarcity of water. FatehpurSikri is currently a World Heritage site. The PanchMahal, or Palace of five Storeys, and also the BulandDarwaza, ar among the best specimens of Mughal architecture. And then drive to Bharatpur. On arrival check in to the Hotel. Afternoon, proceed by cycle rickshaws to the famous the Keoladeo Ghana Park, that could be a surprise of the natural world and no less worth seeing than the marble mausoleum of the Taj. Here over 350 species of birds find refuge within the 29 sqkms of shallow lakes & amp; woodlands of the park. Come back hotel.

DAY 06: BHARATPUR

Enjoy cycle rickshaw ride in Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary.
Overnight at the Bharatpur.

DAY 07 : BHARATPUR – JAIPUR

Morning drive to Jaipur (176 Kms).Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day will be free for relaxation and shopping.
Overnight stay in Gir National Park.

DAY 08: IN JAIPUR

Have breakfast at the hotel. You will then be taken on a tour to Jaipur- the city of royal palaces. The city is quietly known to be the first planned city as one can witness wide streets and beautiful gardens all around which is otherwise not found in other urban cities. The people here are warm and hospitable and welcome visitors like their own family members. The Amber fort, known for its enthralling fortress will be visited during sightseeing. Made with white marble and red sandstone, it is quite a beautiful creation that will stun everyone. When there is mention of Amber fort, no one can forget the mention of Sheesh Mahal which witnesses awe-inspiring mirrored halls. Also on tour list is the HawaMahal which is known to be the Palace of Winds. Built with red and pink sandstone, the palace dons a total of 5 storeys and around 935 windows. The main reason behind its construction was to allow women to gaze out at the city without themselves being seen. Since there were a lot of openings, it helped the rulers staying in the palace to get a cool breeze during hot weather. After sightseeing, you shall be treated with traditional Rajasthani lunch and then transfer you to the hotel.
OVERNIGHT STAY IN JAIPUR.

DAY 09: JAIPUR- DELHI

Have breakfast in the hotel. Enjoy a leisure morning and then departure to Delhi via road. Around 265 kms and 5 hours will make you reach the capital city of India. You shall be transferred to the airport and then let you board the flight for your way back to home.
