Overnight stay in Delhi.
Start your day with an exquisite breakfast in the hotel and let the excitement creep in. Proceed on with the day by taking a full day city tour covering both Old as well as New Delhi. Fascinate your hearts by enjoying a Metro and Auto ride while appreciating the magnificent architecture built by late emperor Shah Jahan in Old Delhi. It’s definitely worth spending at least half a day walking through the chaotic yet colourful streets of Chandni Chowk and visiting India’s biggest and most famous mosque- Jama Masjid. Visit other monuments of the city including Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple (Place of worship for the Bhai Community) and Qutub Minar, which is also considered as a symbol of the City. Spend some time in Old Delhi to join the rest of the group and return to the hotel.
Overnight stay in Delhi.
Have breakfast in the hotel. Depart for Agra by road. The total distance will be around 220 km and it will take a total of 4 hours to reach Agra. On arrival, you shall be transferred to the hotel. Later in the day, you shall be taken on a tour to Taj Mahal built by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife- Mumtaz. The evening shall be spent watching the glorifying sunset at Taj Mahal.
OVERNIGHT STAY IN AGRA.
Have breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Jaipur by road via visiting beautiful Fatehpur Sikri. A total of 250 km and a span of 5 hours shall take you to Jaipur. Jaipur- the city of royal palaces was founded in the year 1569 during the reign of Mughal emperor Akbar and the city remained the capital of Mughal Empire from the years 1571 to 1585. Fatehpur Sikri which took around fifteen years to be constructed during the rule of Akbar possess a series of royal palaces, courts, mosque and private quarters that can make any traveler fall in love with the place. It is the Fatehpur Sikri which is the quite popularly known for speaking volumes about the legends of Akbar and his courtiers i.e. the nine jewels including Birbal. It is also known to be one of the best and most preserved collections of Mughal Architecture in India. You shall be continuing the drive to Jaipur. On arrival, you shall be transferred to the hotel in Jaipur.
OVERNIGHT STAY IN JAIPUR.
Have breakfast at the hotel. You will then be taken on a tour to Jaipur- the city of royal palaces. The city is quietly known to be the first planned city as one can witness wide streets and beautiful gardens all around which is otherwise not found in other urban cities. The people here are warm and hospitable and welcome visitors like their own family members. The Amber fort, known for its enthralling fortress will be visited during sightseeing. Made with white marble and red sandstone, it is quite a beautiful creation that will stun everyone. When there is mention of Amber fort, no one can forget the mention of Sheesh Mahal which witnesses awe-inspiring mirrored halls. Also on tour list is the Hawa Mahal which is known to be the Palace of Winds. Built with red and pink sandstone, the palace dons a total of 5 storeys and around 935 windows. The main reason behind its construction was to allow women to gaze out at the city without themselves being seen. Since there were a lot of openings, it helped the rulers staying in the palace to get a cool breeze during hot weather. After sightseeing, you shall be treated with traditional Rajasthani lunch and then transfer you to the hotel.
OVERNIGHT STAY IN JAIPUR.
After early breakfast attend the Gangaur Festival, this is one of the most important local events in Rajasthan. This festival is celebrated all over Rajasthan. “gan” is a synonym for Lord Shiva and “gauri” or “gaur” stands for Goddess Parvati, the blissful partner of Lord Shiva. Gangaur celebrates the union of the two and it is a symbol of marital and wedded happiness. Gangaur is renowned in the month of chaitra (March-April), the first month of the Hindu calendar. This month marks the end of winter and the beginning of spring. This fair is renowned particularly by women, who adoration soil idols of “Gan” & “Gauri” in their houses. These idols are reverenced by bachelor girls who seek the blessings of Gan and Gauri for a good spouse, while the married women pray for the good health and long life of their husbands. This adoration which starts form the first day of the chaitra month finishes on the 18th day into Gangaur fair with a huge spiritual dedication. On the eve of Gangaur festival, women adorn their palms and finger with henna. The idols of Gan and Gauri are engrossed in a pond or in a nearby lake on the last day of the festival. A conventional march of Gangaur begin form the Zanani- Deodhi of the City Palace, passing through Tripolia Bazaar, Chhoti Chaupar, Gangauri Bazaar, Chaugan stadium and finally converges near the Talkatora. The pageant is headed by a colorful spectacle of elephants, old palanquins, chariots, bullock carts and presentation folk artistes.
Overnight in Jaipur.
Have breakfast in the hotel. Enjoy a leisure morning and then departure to Delhi via road. Around 265 kms and 5 hours will make you reach the capital city of India. You shall be transferred to the airport and then let you board the flight for your way back to home.
