Board a houseboat as you reach Kumarakom and start sailing through the picturesque backwaters of Kerela.

After breakfast, you will be moved to Thanjavur (195 kms. in 4 hours), famously called Tanjore which was the capital of Chola dynasty. In here, you are taken to have a look at the Brihadishwara Temple which is the greatest remnant of Chola temple designing finesse (erected by “Raja-Raja” in the 1010). Further, two things which will leave you amazed are the depiction of colour of Lord Krishna to be ‘shwetaha’ instead of ‘shyamaha’ in Tanjore School and the inscriptions stating strong development of arts in Tanjore. A luscious morning meal will be followed by a drive (150 kms. in 4 hours) to Pondicherry (one of the seven Union Territories of India) situated at the Coromandel Coast. Residence of Saint Agasthya, Pondicherry was the chief French settlement in the Indian subcontinent and it boasts of a nice atmosphere, inexpensive beer and extraordinary eating joints and most importantly Sri Aurobindo Ashram founded by Sri Aurobindo in 1926 which principally thrusts on the practice of combination of yoga and modern science. Spend a comfortable night at the hotel where you will be shifted on your arrival at Pondicherry.
